i think its time for an actual update. this happens about once a month (if even) so click below to read on:
lets see, saturday i went to the zoo with erin, her 'rents, and her aunt and uncle (with their 2 kids, who are cute/awesome, which is something you won't hear me say very often about kids). it was lots of fun, it only rained once, it wasn't crowded, and it was nice to go back there, since i haven't been to in probably 3 years. my only complaint was that we didn't get to see any penguins, oh well. afterwards we went to chili's and had a grand ol' time sharing hilarious/creepy bug stories and laughing the entire restuarant back to their homes.
sunday i hit a brick wall. i woke up with a sore throat, and a nose that could compete with a running faucet. i loaded up on some medicine before slaving at work for 8 hours, afterwards i came home and almost fell asleep before i realized i had plans with erin that needed to be fulfilled. i went with her and her 'rents to cj mahoneys, which was actually very good, but it would've been much more enjoyable if my sinus' weren't draining into my throat all day. we watched rome (a very good show for all the doubters, i.e. itod), i drove home and collapsed.
i woke up this morning feeling a lot better. the sore throat was gone but i had a wretched taste in my mouth, which i usually do get the day after my sore throat subsides. i probably went through 3 bottles of water (and some more meds) before i found the greatness of flavor-ice. i laid around watching sportscenter and family guy until 3 when i had to work. when i got there, the sinus pressure that had been lingering around for awhile came full force, and for a pretty good portion of my shift i had a big headache, and even had trouble hearing sometimes. thankfully one of the pharmacists gave me some more meds which got rid of my sinus headache, but the majority of sinus-yuckiness had found its way to my stomach, and ever since about 8 ive been feeling queazy. i forced down some pepto bismol before i left work, which seemed to have helped, but the runny nose and sneezing came back once i got home. since then, i've subjected myself to mediocre monday night football and some thin mints. imagine how much fun you can have when you have allergies.
this brings me to a good point. if there is one thing i don't like about my music, its that its almost impossible to listen to when you feel sick. im not sure about anyone else, but when i have allergies this bad (or when im just sick) the last thing i wanna hear is tons of screams and growls over extremely distorted and downtuned guitars. which is a real bummer since 2 cds which ive been waiting for since the beginning of last week arrived saturday, but i didn't find em till i got home that night.
i know this post was useless and i don't expect to read any comments that will seem to consume hours of my time, but i'm bored and this certainly beats the alternative: watching the redskins play the cowboys. ill probably update tomorrow with a picture i wanted to put in this post, but seeing as i have a hard time getting up at 7:30 for class when i'm healthy, i best be going to bed.
