"Wait. I thought you weren't talking to him anymore; why do you still have his number in your phone?"
"So if he calls, I know not to answer!"

Him: "Hi, I'm sorry about that - I didn't mean to dial your number."
Me: "It's okay, I was just calling back to make sure it wasn't something important."
Him: "No, just an accident, it won't happen again."
Me: "Out of curiosity, and I feel really bad asking this, but I don't actually have this number in my phone - you sound familiar, but... who is this?"
Him: "Guy. Your ex-husband. The man you were intimately involved with for six years."
Me: "Oh! Um... okay. Sorry 'bout that. Think we should go now. Bye!"
So yeah, my ex-husband butt-dialed me two years after our divorce and I didn't recognize his phone number ~or~ voice. I still don't have his number in my phone, but it could have saved me a really unfortunate moment there if I had at the time. x-D
