Just before midnight, Oz takes off his clothes, otherwise they'd be ripped to shreds. And actually there was no guarentee the wolf won't tear them up anyway, but at least there was a chance if he takes everything off

The Oz-wolf paused in his endless pacing of the small room in which he was captive, and cocked his head to listen, and to smell. His nose pulled him to the door, reinforced steel designed to resist the strength of a wolf and other beings.
