Saturday Morning

Mun is an idiot and forgot the full moon is tonight, so Oz would have changed last night too *sigh*The first awareness was of the cold ground beneath him. He rolled over, arms drawn up under his chest for warmth. Not even one second passed before he realised he was face down in dirt. On the ground. Naked, as he always was after the wolf ( Read more... )

I've been checking some websites (since C.R.A.C.K. has to be out there to help in case of loose werewolves) and I understand that the moon is actually still waxing gibbous and won't be full for another day or so (I say that because technically it won't be full until 8:13 AM Eastern Daylight Time on Monday. I don't know how that works.)

Anyway. U.S. Naval Observatory's Sun and Moon Data Webpage.

[OOC: *Nods*

It's Buffy!verse canon that the werewolf emerges three nights each month. The night of the full moon, and the two nights surrounding it, so Oz shifts three nights in a row.

The link is helpful, yes. Much thankies! *g*]

[OOC: Oh, I know (*Is Buffy geek*). I was just saying that yesterday would have been wolf-free anyway since the full moon isn't until Monday morning (I assume that counts as Sunday night).

Except I didn't actually say that in so many words. That is, I used more words but didn't successfully convey that.]

After her conversation with Red, Duce waits until the muscle relaxants wear off a bit more before going on an Oz hunt. Heading into the back yard, she can clearly see.. and smell.. that he's been there, but the backyard is empty. Wandering around the side of the house, she runs her fingers along Gate in an absent gesture of affection and notes that there are only Red's paw prints on the ground.

Re-entering the house, she heads down the hall and stops outside his bedroom door. Pulling out her cell phone, she flips it open and checks the time, mentally calculating the hours of sleep Oz has been likely to have had. Stuffing the phone back into her pocket, she gnaws her lower lip for a moment, and then screws up her courage and knocks softly.

"Oz?"

"'Sopen," he mumbles. He's not sleeping, though he is laying on the bed. On, not in. He's on top of the covers and fully dressed.

Pushing the door open, Duce peeks around the corner, "You ok?"

He sits up and scoots back so he's propped up on the wall just because it's there. "Yeah. Just...rough night. Worried about you. Managed to lock myself in, I don't even remember." He shrugs. The werewolf is old news. He's more concerned about her.

"You okay? I went to school looking for you after Red told me you asked over to come get you."
