Why are they saying this is your last surgery you are allowed to have on that shoulder? I really hope it is you clavicle causing the impingment. But that also means the doctor didn't repair something the right way the first time to cause your claviclar joint to be pressing down on your never...

When he did the first surgery it was in the front of the shoulder area near the breast area. The clavicle problem is that I have a small extra bone growth on the end that is curving down that's causing the problem. We found this on the X-rays at my one year check-up (July 2006) after the surgery. We both decided to give my shoulder six months and see what happened.

As for the limitation on the surgery the nurse in question is just looking out for me. She has seen too many people coming back through her Surgi-center having to have repeated shoulder surgeries and slowly losing motion and mobility. If it wasn't my dominant shoulder I would probably not be having this one and just work around it.

My moms best friend has been going though this with her shoulder... and frankly we don't want to see col have the same problems. SHe has had 5 sugeries to remove bone and shave the tendons so that her rotator cuff problems will go away... and after all the work now she has to go in for surgery #6 at the Mayo clinic they are going to perform a compleat joint replacement of her right shoulder. and frankly we don't wanna see Col have to go though this.
