"There you are! I looked everywhere for you upstairs but everyone thought you were out to a late lunch."
She looked over the brunette and pursed her lips. Something was certainly putting the scientist on edge, though there were infinte justified reasons that Fred would be feeling like that. Usually, Fred was okay at fooling people into believing that she wasn't scared or stressed or whatever. Many times the girl had to go to bat before she had the chance to consider fears and concerns, they all had. But there was something in her strained expression that prompted Cordelia to press the other woman.
"Why are you using the bathroom down here?" she asked, her face a sincere picture of worry.

Words couldn’t express how happy Fred was to see Cordelia awake and healthy. She was the first person she’d seen in Pylea from Earth. Her arrival in that world via portal had given Fred hope and she knew that without Cordy she’d still be hiding out in some cave. Still, her concern and inquisitiveness made Fred a little bit uneasy.
“These bathrooms? I was, um…” She bit her lower lip. “Comparing the soaps.” She nodded. “The staff ones have a sort of lavender smell.”

"You really need to eat more. Want to come with me to get bagels?"
The decision was made quickly, that Cordelia would let Fred open up to her if the other wanted rather than pry. If it seemed like the sweet-hearted scientist was still upset in a few days then maybe she'd press further.
She did take a moment to remind Fred of one thing though. "If you want to talk, just let me know, okay?"

“I like bagels!” Fred chirped happily in spite of her previously down mood. Her mouth twitched into an awkward little half-smile and she nodded.
“It would be nice to get away from…” She trailed off, gesturing to their surroundings. “Well, you know.”
Maybe a snack with a friend could nudge her mood towards being more positive. She certainly hoped so. Everything was so overwhelming lately.
