Good Day Today! I just finished making cosmetic repairs to the gold crown of a Sican (pre-Peruvian, 900 - 1100 AD) emperor. My hands didn't shake but there certainly were butterflies in my stomach. I also repaired two rattles and a gold breast plate. The items got a little shaken up coming from South America and needed a little TLC before going

I'm glad you think it's cool, I'm totally over the moon on this. The Peruvian Government official who is escorting the gold took some pictures of me working on the sacred artifacts. I'll post them as soon as I get them.

I just saw the teenage remake of Raiders last night. Fan-freakin-tastic!

It does; it's mostly archaeological items that have been recovered fairly recently. Not unlike the Baghdad Museum which the rampaging barbarian American Army allowed to be plundered. A world history disaster similar in the amount of information lost in the burning of the ancient library at Alexandria.

Yes, well tonight's the Gala which we don't want to go to but after that it's open. There is a fee- I think it costs about $15. for a ticket. I can get one here for you at the U, I'll buy you one for some of the nice things you've done for me but I want to get a gaggle of us together to go all at once sometime. I'll email everyone about it again, I don't want to go alone.
