Well, OK, not life in general, but... I currently have two ear infections that are making life not-so-pleasant. For one thing, I cannot hear out of pretty much both ears, although one is a little better than the other. What I can hear...echoes weirdly. No, I have the option of being here or not. :) I figure that I can be miserable at home, or I can be miserable here. I further figure that if I'm miserable here, at least it's not eating into my combined sick/vacation time. I'd much rather stay home from work when healthy. And it's not like my job is physically strenuous. I do accounting, so mostly I sits on my bottom and push my chair around my office. :)

Ugh, dealing with unemployment is no fun. I hope it goes in your favor and that you'll be able to find something else quickly.

Double ear infections are never fun. You have my sympathy. The echoing of my own voice in my head whenever I spoke was what almost drove me nuts. And the fact that whenever someone wanted to speak to me they usually had to grab my arm to get my attention because I could not hear- at all.

Yeah, I think I've got maybe 25% hearing in my one ear. It's pretty wild, actually. I'm in the office alone today, so it's not like anyone has to talk to me. And I'm just not answering the phone because I can neither hear what people are saying nor speak very well.

Although the more stuffed-up ear, the one that I can't hear out of at all, is starting to crackle here and there, like when I blow my nose, so I'm HOPING that the gunk is starting to disperse. That would be nice...

Thanks. :) Hey, I did stay home on Wednesday, because I just couldn't drag myself out of bed, and I got caught up on "Sky and Ground." Had three stories to read, including the new one. That was lovely. :) And then I slept for the rest of the day, all happy in an OMG!THE ANGST! sort of way. Thank you for that. :)

As someone still recovering fron tonsilitus, with a pain still shooting from throat to ear when I swallow, I can sympathiese.

I'm, so sorry to hear you're ill. You should definately take a rest from everything. Hopefully the voices will understand and keep you company, instead of demand you write.
