I hate how gay people too often divide themselves into categories of "butch" and "bitch"/"femme" (depending on the gender endemic to the specific breed of homosexuality,) thereby creating within the two gay sub-communities a microcosm of gender division in society as a whole. I don't mind the division, cause I see it as a valid identity role, but what I hate is people who see it as the absolute of their identity, or relationships. I hate the butchs who think they can never dress nice and "femme" because they are butch, and it's not allowed, or the femmes who think it's wrong to like another femme, cause it's supposed to be a femme/butch pair.

Well, yeah, it's a valid identity role. As is "macho," for that matter. For the record, I also hate the term "macho" because it is, in many circles, seen as the pinnicle of male achievement. "Girly," too. I just hate the way people devide themselves up. And using the terms is only a couple steps away from saying that they mean specific things, kinda.
