California is cool. I've been there once and want to visit (hopefully I'll get to tour big cities of the world in the future, and that will include San Francisco and LA.

Well, they do provide cheap hotels near the big cities (when I last went to Chicago, the people I came up with--it was for a school trip--stayed in a Hotel 8 in Elk Grove. I spent three hours walking from Elk Grove to O'Hare so that I could get into the city, where I was staying with family and friends. That was a lot of fun, since I don't often get a chance to get lost and try to find my way home.)
