Here's
a schedule of Internet broadcasts of some Paralympics* events. It looks like there's mostly swimming and wheelchair basketball -- no cycling, no goalball**, and only the wheelchair rugby finals (sorry Murderball fans.)

There was a runner with low vision who competed in some distance running event in the 2004 Olympics (Marla something???), but generally, I think the only way any athlete with a disability can compete there (besides being qualified) is if they don't require any special accommodations. (See the big controversy around Oscar ... Pistorias ??? ... the South African runner who uses prosthetic legs.)

There are Paralympic events for blind athletes in swimming, running, Judo, wrestling (I think), cycling (tandem), goalball (which may be the only team sport.)
I know fencing for blind people is not unheard of in Europe, so I don't know if that's a Paralympic event as well.
I'm not sure what else there is.

heh... I wonder if there is going to be any judo ... I'll keep an eye on CBC or anything.

Oh right! We get CBC here on cable. I should check to see what they're going to show.
