I turn 48 tomorrow....oh boy. I hate birthdays anymore. Besides being the reminder that mortality chases us all, it makes me way too reflective on the past. There are things back there that don't even seem like they are actually part of my life. Its like I am watching something scripted. Man there has been a lot of water pass under the bridge. I

Fascinating. And GO for it.

Incidentally, I was a bit of a prodigy in literature in school. With one thing or another it freaked me out; didn't write a thing for 12 years. Finally went to Uni, English degree - learnt zip of what I was supposed to but it was one of the most valuable experiences/processes of my life.

You won't be out of place if it is where you feel you should be. (Everyone else might be, they are where other people think they should be.) :p

Thanks...those are very insightful and thoughtful words. I am pretty excited about the prospect. I hope I get the chance to at least see what I can do. It will depend on some outside influences, like finances, etc. It will probably take me a long time too. But I am hopeful.
