What I'm watching now...

Lately I'm going back watching classic movies I love so much again, like Alfred Hitchock (Rebecca (my favourite! And I love Daphne du Maurier!!), Psycho, Suspicion, North Northwest...) and Ingrid Bergman. I'm probably one of few ppl my age who loves classic and oldies.:P

What about Anime? Well, since I hate starting sth and not finish it (except the ( Read more... )

anime, seki tomokazu, miki shinichirou, movies

you should watch something like durarara :D or maybe saraiya goyou, if you like historical anime.

hakuouki is no good, cause originally it was otome-muke game :/ i rather prefer gorilla-type gintama shinsengumi, than all these bishounens XDDD

I'm taking up your advice. Thanks!^.^

I knew that hakuouki was from a game, but didn't know that it was an otome-muke one. Well, one could guess though...

I don't mind bishounens in particular, if the plotline was passable. (But I agree with you, gintama has a nice artwork.)
When I watched Code Geass (the prime example of fanservice for fanboys), I got pretty annoyed at times, but at least the anime was enjoyable (the first season was much better, the sequel almost ruined it.)
Hah! Maybe it's also bc I've watched so many Anime and am out of the age for fangirlsm over "simple" things now.

Hakuouki has the hottest Saitou....!! (>w<) And that's probably the only reason I watched it til the end LOL. It was kinda boring... yeah. A slow anime. No comedy. Not the kind of anime I'll watch but can.t.resist.saitou. orz orz

I stopped VK, not even considering of watching VKG.

I'm fascinated by the Shinsengumi in general.

In Hakuouki Saitou looks cool though I prefer the one in Kenshin.

This sort of Anime I dislike the most, but I watched it till the last episode though. After all it was only 13 eps.
The artwork is nice, many bishounen, but it annoys me a bit that the fanservice is so obvious.-_-

I quite agree with your opinion about Vampire knight... I heard a lot of good words for it, so decided to watch it. Was a dissapointing decision XD

I like Shinsengumi as well *_* If not speaking about cast and artwork, just story of Shinsengumi that is it worth watching?

Have you seen Peacemaker Kurogane? I think it's great for those interested in Shinsengumi!^_^

I've finished Vampire Knight Guilty and it was better than the first season, but still, I won't rewatch it, I guess...
That proves again, that my taste and opinion don't always go well with critics. I mean, this Anime and Manga was awarded several times in Germany and some other countries too, and I was expecting sth. Maybe my expaction was too high due to the acclaims...

The Meiji and Toubaku period are very interesting, especially the Shinsemgumi.
I've tried the Manga Peacemaker Kurogane, but wasn't very impressed. Maybe I should try the Anime at first..? If you say so, then I should give a try. ^-^

VKG leaved me in some kind of perplexity, maybe manga is really better, but after anime I don't feel like reading it...

Haven't read Peacemaker manga, but anime impressed me. I think that story is told good and enough of serios moments and jokes.
But I've seen really few Meiji-connected animes, so it's hard to say objective)
And I liked cast, thats not the last point.

Maybe I'm a bit biased, since I haven't read the Manga too yet. But the plot is very predictable and the characters aren't fancy either. For me another "tragic" love story mixed with vampiry elements to make it more appealing, but that's all.

Hm, I've written an essay about the Meiji-period, so I know this time well. though I didn't dig deep about the Shinsengumi.
Have you read Rurouni Kenshin? It's one of the best meiji-connected Manga. The Anime is not bad, I'm especially fond of the OVAs, but the Manga is way better!

Ok, if you say so, I put this Anime on my must-watch-list. ^-^
*goes look up for the cast*
