Hons class, etc...
... was all much fun. Basic problem of the External Dimension of the EU's Area of Freedom, Security and Justice: it's a bit of a mess internally, and all the problems transpose onto the external arena, with a few extra ones for good measure. How very Philip Larkin ("This Be the Verse", is what I'm thinking... never mind...)
Afterwards, went to town with katrin514, since I'd promised her to buy her something for her birthday. Ended up spending more money on a T-shirt for me; but, to be fair, it's only because she didn't like anything besides a relatively cheap vest-top. Oh, and the fact that places like H&M were closing by the time we got to them.
Worryingly, my T-shirt appears to be just right at XS (admittedly, it's quite tight, but that's the idea) - and this is in EUROPE, where people don't really tend to suffer from obesity or anything. Perhaps I should eat more...
Walked back from town (bike being in joint possession of myself and shiny_and_new, and reflected on how beautiful Leiden is in the summer, when the weather is nice. If only I didn't have to revise for my these damned collections in October...
It's going to be pretty weird next time I'm here: katrin514 is leaving tomorrow lunchtime for Brussels, and eoin_mclove is going to be gone before I'm back again. Which now transpires to need be not the 15th/16th, but in fact the 19th - the last Hons Class had been shifted to the Monday after the Friday I thought it was going to be at. Meaning I won't have to fly back for the final bop and then jet back for my parents' visit, and will actually be able to say 'I'm back for the rest of term' without having to qualify that by anything. Scary, kinda... Two proper weeks at Oxford!
However - and I've only just realised this - it also means I'm going to be missing maxwell_s_demon's final exam. F***. I'm really really sorry... not much I can do about it, though... :$ :( :S
Right, finally it appears our dinner-guests are here (well, katrin514, being the one guest who wasn't here already). Guess I'd better go...
