I'm actually a bit scared to see this version. I'm a huge fan of the BBC one with Colin and I can't stand Keira (except for Love Actually but I blame it on magic of the movie itself lol). I adore Donald Sutherland but I heard that he wasn't too convincing as a British gentleman... Wouldn't someone like Michael Cain be better? But if you say it's worth it I'll give it a try!
I've never been a big fan of Keira Knightly cause she tends to annoy me sometimes (right after Kirsten Dunst) Are you... me? It's so freaky true. Wow.
So, for me there always has been and always will be only Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy I didn't watch the film but I feel the same and I'm SURE we're not alone. Damn, he was even Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones, yet another Mr. Darcy that's unforgettable :)
Oh I'd like to see Pride and Prejudice, but I haven't read the book, so I guess I should do that first. But Colin Firth is my Mr.Darcy too ;) (ignore that I haven't seen this version too LOL).
You don't have to read the book before you see the movie. I think lots of people is spoiled cause Jane Austin is read all over the world but if you decide to see it I wonder what your opinion will be afterwards.
You should. It beautifully shot, funny romantic comedy that'll make you laugh and cry. Oh and the lauguage they speak. Did I mention that I love how unbelieveably they have spoken back then. It's like hearing a poem. Awwww.
Uwielbiam słuchać ludzi w filmach, jest głosno ustwiony głos, a oni mówią tak fajnie, albo z akcentem, wymiękam przy grubym ciepłych męskich głosach *sigh* Uwielbaim głos jamesa laffertego i JASONA dOHRINGA.:) uWIELBIAM ICH SŁUCHAĆ :)
What you meam really, really good? I enjoyed it VERY much, however I'm a sucker for those 18th & 19th century movies and watch them all. Keira was good as Lizzy Bennet and Matt MacFadyen as Mr. Darcy charmed me completely. Go see it.

Colin Firth is Mark Darcy - Always and Forever.
Oh and I loved how they incorporated P&P into Bridget Jones.
