how whenever you call tech support or repair services.. they never REALLY want to help you. they just suggest a few minor little things & then.... they cant help you but they CAN send someone to the house who'll charge you

what company is it? I'm thinking of switching from cable and I want to know who's good/bad. From what I've heard they all pretty much screw you. :/

dish network

weve had them 10 years or so. havent had TOO many problems.
just once they credited my payment to another account & cut or service off
then we ordered dvr recievers & they charged more then what i had been told

i think thats almost it

but. if i could get cable. i would. i cant though. i live in the sticks & my only options are dishnet or direct tv.
ive heard worse about direct tv. plus they cost more

Since it's their mess up that caused the problem it's their job to fix it. I'd tell them if they don't fix the problem for free you'll go with another company. Even without their stupid breakdown cover you can usually get them to come out and do the work. We called to cancel our subscription because we refused to pay the fees for moving the sky dish. They gave us a new dish and box and installed for free to stop us cancelling.

Fingers crossed they sort this out asap!

i would. except the fact we signed an 18 month contract when we moved here, so they'd wave the $250 install charge.

i think in october when the contract is up ill call to "cancel" & see if i can get something from them..lol

Oh bummer I forgot about that period. I'm glad Michael got it fixed though. Roll on October eh lol. We recently cancelled to see if they'll offer us sky + for free. The thing is we don't get much time to watch the tv, so paying for subscriptions is a waste of time unless we had a + box so that we can watch in our own time.

Freeview sucks though, I hope they offer us something soon lol.
