I'm sorry your dad got laid off! I have to say the second part of this post has me cracking up though...that is so my dad! I finally just started having him tell me what he wants and I bid for him. Much less work than explaining to him (usually via text messaging at that!!) Oy! ;)

thats what ive done many times in the past.. but now.. he wants to do it on his own.he's got more time to fool with it. and drive me insane.
i ended up bidding for him again this time. and telling him id show him in person how to do stuff when i was there this weekend

he's sorta happy about being laid off.. its been very hard on him . his weight has gone up, (he was always a big guy. but now really big). and his knees have been operated on twice before. and the weight on his knees leaves him in serious pain. they need to operate again. but say they cant until he looses weight. but .. he's in too much pain after working.. he cant walk or anything to get the weight down.
he actually will be able to get disability & get more pay then he will on unemployment. so hes gonna get started on that process and stay out of work.. try to get his weight down & get his knees fixed

oh yeah. hes fine financially. he'll get unemployment & theyve extended the length you can draw it because of the economy.

& he's going to get started on getting disablity & getting his knees fixed. he should have done it months ago when his doc told him to
