Down with the sickness....
Ok, not down. I don't have time to be down. Monday I was feeling So Very Tired come around noon that Debbie let me head home earlier than I had planned to (1230 instead of 130). I took a nap, and headed to school. I was off work Tuesday and Wednesday, and lo and behold, an upper respiratory bug has settled into my body. It started off in my chest, and is now pretty much just in my nose. It sucks. I've had minimal energy all week, and of course it's the week my Psych project write up is due, and I have a Big Biology Exam on Monday. Blech. Anyhow, hosting study group tonight, after work. Damon has the cold too, so we should be all sorts of fun.
Korean Festival tomorrow, which I am heartily looking forward to. Supposed to be really nice, too. Maybe I'll plan a picnic. Or not.
Mom's coming over to do some yard work. I am not big on yardwork, and Dale has recently gotten into lawn care and househould plants. We now have 9 houseplants, 3 pots of herbs on the kitchen windowsill, and a Big Container full of catnip, chammomile, mint, and thyme on the deck to keep the bugs away. This from the 2 plants we had when we started.
Dale didn't sleep well last night. Mom was originally planning to get here around now, but she'll be another hour or so. I had tried to wake Dale up with the promise of coffee about half hour ago. Anyhow, as I'm typing this I hear, faintly, "Nikki!"
Into the bedroom. "Did you call me?"
"You said something about coffee soon?"
"I did, but then mom called and said she'd be here closer to 10, so I thought I'd let you sleep a little longer."
"I love you."
Oye. That's pretty much all that's exciting in my life folks. Working today and Monday, off Sunday/Tuesday/Wednesday, then off Tuesday Wednesday, then Tuesday/Wednesday/THURSDAY! Three days off in a row!
Did I post about Mother's Day? Well, we had a yummy Mexican lunch with Dale's mom and brother, and saw Star Trek. Turns out Dane is leaving for Philly 3 days after Graduation.
