Things to do

May 05, 2010 09:55

If anyone wonders why I have so little brain power these days, why I am out of steam and perhaps less than gracious, here's my to-do list, through February 2011. I'll try to keep it chronological, but no promises.

Finish spring classes. They are going well so far, so this is actually the least of my concerns, as far as the big picture goes anyhow. On a day to day basis, they drive me nuts.
Call (and possibly drive to) Skagit Valley College for copy of my CNA training completion certificate (this happens Monday, as I have an unexpected day off.)
Schedule advising appointment at UW Bothell to discuss the classes I need to take next year to enter their RN to BSN program in 2013.(Need to do this before summer, to prep for Fall quarter registration.) EDIT: Need to do this before May 18th, which is my registration date for Fall quarter. Nothing like a tight timeline.
Complete pre-req's for BC's RN program (specifically Microbiology in Fall of 2010)
Wait to hear from Financial Aid (award letters go out this month sometime, so while I can't do anything about this, it is a low-level hum on my radar.)
Prepare for TEAS examination, although I can't take it until January 2011.
Hunt down copies of my MMR titer, Tetanus booster, Hepatitis B vaccination (MMR and HepB are in Everett, Tetanus info is online. These are summer tasks.)
Complete background check and FBI screening.
Clean my pantry.
Organize under my bathroom and kitchen sinks.
Clean my closet and dresser.
Clean the garage.
Get into bikini shape.
Determine work schedule beginning in September.
Get the office ready for Dane and Megan (who will likely arrive in August, and stay with us for...some undisclosed time period. I told Dale they're welcome as long as they are not freeloading.)
Buy tickets to Hawaii and Disneyland, dress for the wedding, schedule waxing and tanning.
Weed our little patch of garden.
Get my brakes done, and transmission service on my car.
Clean my down comforters and duvet covers.
Apply to nursing school.
(Turn this list into an excel spreadsheet with due dates and notes.)

I'm sure there's more. I'll add to this list as I remember things. A flaw I have is thinking that I am the only one who can get stuff done. If you look carefully at this list, though, there are precious few things that I can delegate to Dale. We can work together on the garage, office, and weeding. Other than that? It's all me.

Stress. I has it. But I also has a list, which helps. This has been looping in my head for a while now.
