I am trying to live my life. And I feel like someone always tries to stop me from doing so. I want to be able to tell my mom, "This is what Im doing. And you're not involved." But it is never that simple. She has me my the reins in every aspect of life. She needs to cut the cord. I am tired of it.

You are an adult and can make your own choices.

You don't live with her do you? She can try to control you all she wants but it's up to you whether you allow it or not. You're an adult. She's done parenting. She can try all she wants but you will live your life as you see fit. You can gently tell her that she can give you her opinion but it's up to you how you live your life.
