Does anyone even slash anymore?

It's Joshtin.

“Look, JC…” Justin moved carefully. “I’m down with this whole thing, but-“

“What?”

It wasn’t like he was hanging upside down-JC was draining him. “Can’t you find someone else to you know…” And naturally, as comfortable as he said he was with this whole thing, it still weirded him out.

“Feed on?”

“Yah.” This conversation was proving difficult. Since JC was-literally-attached to Justin’s neck. “I’m sure doing this all the time can’t be healthy. And you’ve got to stop tricking me.”

“I don’t trick you.” JC’s words bumped into each other, because-yah, he was feeding. And he did trick Justin. All the time. He’d come to him, pretending to be turned on… all touching and feeling on Justin. Pretend to kiss behind his ear… neck, and then *boom*.

“Jace, you do.” Justin really didn’t have a problem with JC doing this. Friends did this type of thing for each other. Well, not exactly this type of thing, but you know, ‘Help a friend in need.’ And JC was like a full blown vampire [bit twice]… so he really didn’t eat like, food. So, it was necessary. And he had seen Interview With A Vampire enough times to know what to do.

The whole thing wasn’t as uncomfortable as Justin thought it would be. It only hurt the very first time. And Justin didn’t even really know that time. JC told him it was an accident. Then proceeded to come out of the homosexual-blood-sucking closet. Really, the whole thing kind of felt good now.

“Okay.” JC pulled away, wiped his mouth, and then said, “I can’t do that to anyone else.” He looked at Justin hard. “You’re the only one that knows.”

“Well, I don’t mind.” Really, he didn’t. Only when people would notice the bite, and ask about it. Which wasn’t that often anyway. “When can you tell the other guys?”

“I can’t, Justin.”

Justin really didn’t see why he couldn’t. It’s not like the guys wouldn’t accept it. They both already came out… vampires weren’t anything to worry about, either. “Well, I hope you got enough. ‘Cos I’m going out tonight. Probably won’t see you in a few days.”

“Yah, I can handle it.”

JC and Justin weren’t exclusive. They just had that special yourbestfriendisavampire bond. Justin was cool with that, because Justin wasn’t exactly the monogamous type, and he really liked sex. And he liked partying, and being around people who only wanted him for one reason.

Its not that JC had a problem with that-well, he did. But he didn’t really let anyone know that. And it wasn’t entirely because JC was just the jealous type-there was also the whole vampire thing. When you get bitten, you’re a vamp too. JC never told Justin that… and that was okay. Because really, you could only become full blown if bitten twice-so Justin wasn’t blood thirsty or any of that.

Justin went out that night, and JC followed him-watched him dance close with a pretty light-skinned boy, then watched them leave together. Jealousy struck hard, and left JC bitter.

“Do you even like those guys you’re with?” JC asked Justin one day when he was over. It’s not like he only came over when he needed to feed.

“They’re hot-if that’s what you mean by like.” Justin smiled and crawled into JC’s lap, working the older man’s shoulders with his hands. “I don’t have to like them-like them.” And it wasn’t like Justin wasn’t genuinely sexually attracted to him. Sometimes they made-out without feeding.

“You should be careful. Really.” Justin elicited a moan from him then, and he asked, “Don’t they ask about this?” And he touched the matching bites on Justin’s neck.

“It’s a bug bite as far as they’re concerned.” Justin moved so his neck hung before JC’s mouth, prompting him. Sometimes, he could get off on the feel. JC kissed him there, tongue and everything, and Justin shoved him, saying, “Don’t play games, JC.”

JC felt guilty, biting Justin, and not having to feed. He broke the skin again, and watched the dark red make a path down Justin’s skin, flowing into his shirt. He kissed him there again, to stop the bleeding. Justin laughed and kissed JC on the mouth, the taste of blood turning his stomach.

“Hey, J-you alright?” Justin looked up from the switchboard. Pharrell had stopped the music and was giving him an Imworriedaboutyou look.

“Yeah man, why?”

Pharrell shrugged, “You’re lookin’ whiter than usual-thas’ all.” He started up the music again, and said, “If you’re feelin’ okay tonight, we’re going go crash this party.”

“Yeah, I’ll be there.”

JC didn’t like Pharrell. And he didn’t like Trace, or Nelly, or anyone who got to have Justin in a way he didn’t. He hated when Justin went out with them. Even more so than when Justin went out and fucked other guys.

And even more than all of that, he hated when Justin called him every morning, “JC, man. I am so trashed.” And JC would have to go get him. And see him like that. And he’d always talk, even when inebriated, about how awesome The Guys were, and how great it is being with The Guys.

He chose to tell Justin all of this while he was feeding. “I fucking hate all of your friends.”

Justin was weak-it was beginning to get to him. He was pale, and tired, and just… washed out, but he answered, “What the fuck did they do?”

“I don’t like you hanging around them.” JC wanted to bite him again, so he would stop being sick. “I want you to stop. You’re too weak to go out every night.”

“Yeah-Jace, Pharrell told me I looked sick the other day.” Justin pushed him away, and let his body fall into JC’s. “I told him I wasn’t… but, Jace…”

Biting him again would help him-but there was so much that came with that… the internal life, blood-thirst, and general lack of skin pigment-but also, there was the guarantee that Justin would be with him forever. JC looked down carefully at sleeping Justin. “You’ll be okay soon.”
