Life at home was boring. Her parents were off on a mini vacation and Chris was always too busy with his fiance, Tara or Tessa or whatever she wanted to be called. So, of course the grandparents never came over because the only person home was Nikki. That was perfectly fine with her, though

At the sound of the familiar voice, George looked up from the stock list he had been double-checking, a grin already spread across his face.

"Hey yourself."

"Did I come at a bad time?" she asked, seeing that he was still busy.

[george_r_us]

"Nah, just doing a little last minute check up work. I got a little shopping to do, apparently," he said, stratching his head with the end of his pen as he glanced down at the list. "We're running low on practically everything, and on everything to make everything."

"You guys are really popular," Nikki grinned, noticing how the shelves were more empty than they had been a few weeks ago.
