Day 1
This morning I awoke excited! We went down for breakfast and I was stokked to see peanut butter! I had myself the first breakfast I enjoyed on the entire trip, lol, a peanut butter sandwich (I'm such a spoiled American). We then headed right across the street to take a bike tour of the city. The tour made me appreciate the city that much more, I just loved the feel of the cool breeze on my face and all the bike bells everywhere. We rode around this massive park that reminded me of Central Park. I like that I have not seen one fat person in Amsterdam. So many people were biking and running it blew my mind! We rode around to see a bunch of museums and then past Anne Frank's house.
I was so excited to finally see her house. I was a big fan when I was younger of her diary along with a hundred other Holocaust survivor stories. It was so unreal standing in her room in the spot where her desk was. I tried to take a picture and noticed a security camera! They take every camera that they catch, so I wasn't gonna risk it this time. Honestly for the rest of the day we walked around the city at our leasure. There happens to be a lot of excellent shopping, but unfortunately for me I had no money so I only got to watch the other girls buy things. European fascion is so cool. On more than one occasion the girls on this trip asked me why Americans dress so boring, which we do.
Tonight was the best though.
We first went to this huge floating Chinese Restaurant that was delish, then got on this booze cruise and got wasted. Lots of wine was drunk, we dance on the boat and took our last photos. It was actually kind of sad :( Once we got off the boat I had a pretty good buzz going. We headed to another "coffee shop" and then a club to go dancing. Some of the girls got trashed and I decided to walk one home. This was a good excuse because I was pretty tired and honestly had made my peace with the trip. I'm so excited to go home now. I cannot wait to design my own European trip for a few years from now. Amsterdam will definitely be on the list and I WILL see the Van Gogh Museum!
Day 2
Well the last day of the trip finally came, and I am sad but happy in a way that it's over. After only a very few short hours from Amsterdam we were in Brugge, Belgium. We were only to make an hour 1/2 stop. Long enough to grab some food and check out the cool little city.
What a cool little city it is. I was sad becase I literally ran out of Euros, so no Belgian waffles or chocolate for me :( The one thing I absolutely hated about Europe that most people might not know is they practically don't take cards ANYWHERE! I just don't understand it. I know cash is easy to deal with but come on, it's 2007, I need to use my debit card. Anywho, 2 hours later we got to Calais once more to take the ferry back over to London. This time I didn't get sick, but an obnoxious little boy next to me actually poked me in the head and woke me up. I hate parents, even European ones! The drive to London and the hostel was unbearable because I had to pee the entire time and there was no bathroom on the bus! But 2 hours later and we said our goodbye's at the hostel. I have a really hard time saying goodbye, but I think I said goodbye to all the people that were important to me  I'm exhausted and going to bed now. The girl in my hostel room is going on the same Topdeck tour starting tomorrow and while I can feel her excitement I can't wait to fly home and see everyone. This trip was insanely wonderful and I look forward to taking a trip to Europe again and again hopefully :)
