I had probably the best weekend of my life beginning June 30th. Like, wow....
The one where Nikki's mom broke Best Buy
Hehe, as annoying as my mom is, she's got a gift. While I'll never let her break me, I'll smile as she breaks others for her/my benefit.
You see, I've had this I-pod for like a year and it started to give on me. Fucking thing. We sent it to the geek squad, they didn't know what to do, so they sent it to Apple. This was at the end of May. Finally fucking get it towards the end of June, and it STILL doesn't work. Apple said "they couldn't find a problem."
'The hell? FUCK! Wouldn't charge or ANYTHING! ;_; I mean, I could live with a CD player, but the ipod is much more convinient because I have so much music and its hard to carry so much >< But whatever. WE HAVE A WARRANTY! They should so SOMETHING to actually fix it! ._.
Well, luckily, I have my mother. W00T! She finally broke them, and thus I now have a sleek, black 30 gigger with the veedeo features costing roughly a good ZERO DOLLARS! HAH! She didn't even have to pay for a new warranty because they said the one we had for the first one was still good. Sweet. Totally only had to pay for a nice, clear plastic case for it. Fuck yeah. I was rather joyous enough when this happened! I mean, what could have made this weekend better other than what I already knew was coming (warped!)?

The one where Nikki met Davey
I wish I had a whole foods. We stopped at one in San Antonio at the Quarry Market the day before warped tour. I looked at everything vegan/organic/NOT SOLD AT AN HEB there with hungry (literally, and yet not literally) eyes. *sigh*
Anyway, I had gone in with my mother (like I said, I wanted to see what they had) after purchasing some warped apparel at Old Navey, and we looked around and stuff for a while, but then she wanted to leave. So, we left and went to this other store she wanted to see, Avenue (I think.).
So, after that we are walking back to the car (parked in front of Michaels), and as I pass the little cafe exit of Whole Foods, a very sexy man walks out. I started to stare because I'm a hormonal teenager. It was only till he realized I was staring it him did my eyes widen.
"Hi," he said in his lovely voice. It finally clicked; THAT WAS DAVEY HAVOK!! He had walked out, tattoo's and all, carrying some frozen vegan treat and accompanied by a tall, pretty blonde girl, the both of them were wearing sunglasses.
After they were out of ear shot (though, I'm sure they could still hear), I started freaking out. A near literal "OMG!" attack.
"MOM! THAT WAS HIM! THAT WAS DAVEY!" I practically yelled.
"Who?" she answered in a confused voice.
"DAVEY! DAVEY HAVOK, THE SINGER OF MY FAVORITE BAND! OF AFI!" I was exploding.
We got into the car, I called Juvi and she probably had no idea what was going on as I continued to OMG over the phone.
"Let's catch up to him!" suggested my mother.
"No...no...OKAY XD" I tried to hide my excitement. I couldn't.
I leaped to my backpack in the back seat and opened my STS Book to retrieve a folded piece of paper. This drawing. We nearly caught up to them in our car as they were walking up to the Quarry Cinema.
I got out of the car, wanting to run but thinking better of it and speed walking towards them.
"Davey!" I called.
Still looking up at the movies showing, he answered with a simple "Yeah?"
I approached them and told him about how excited I was about the next day. I gave him the drawing, folded up (because I'm stupid like that), and he thanked me. Then it got akward because I mentioned that I couldn't wait for the next day, where I could get him and the band to sign my crap. He kind of just "mmmed" about it, not mentioning that they wouldn't be doing a signing (probably didn't want to kill my trip).
As my little episode drew to a close, Davey (or his friend? I really don't remember, but I want to say it was Davey) dropped his spoon. He laughed it off, "It's okay, we'll share," smiling. And then, because I'm a retard, I picked it up anyway and shyly/stupidly said "Um...I don't know if you want it anymore, but here ^^; " Ack. I'm lame. Then I think I said something like "see you tomorrow" or whatever. Either way, we parted and I returned to the car, still exploding.
I called Juvi and told her the details as I tried to cool down at the Border's. I tried to read more of this cute comic, Vampire Loves but I couldn't chill out. I was basically on cloud 9 for the rest of the day, goofily smiling, even in the middle of watching An Inconvinient Truth (And that, I think, is saying something!).
So, then SUNDAY came!
The one where Nikki went to Warped tour!
So, Sunday morning I was practically pushing my parents at 7 to get the fuck up. Lol. We finally got out of the room at like 9 and to my delight and surprise, Sarah and Janessa's family were staying at the same hotel! I had a lovely breakfast chat with the two of them, though they were not headed to Warped. They planned on going to Fiesta, but the bad weather was going to force them to change their plans. I never did find out what they did...
So, drove around till we found the Verizon. Thus, we met up with the crew and we headed forth to the gates.
I saw many a sight!
But it wasn't long before we arrived at the beackon....
At the beackon, many an affy fan and DF member was met. This guy had sweet tats, even a Tiger Army one!
After giving about $60 to Fritch (I didn't realize it was him at the time! He looked different from the pictures that I had seen, all of them extremely crappy quality), We headed out and looked for things to watch. We spent most of our time at the fucking ampitheatre. FUCK! Though, Casualties were very inspirational. A fight broke out, all the security guards leaped, and all the punx that were being held back and restricted began to spill out of the stands, making their ways to the pit. Eventually, security realized how stupid it was to try and restrict punks, and let them enter the pit. Awesome.
We wandered around after getting bored with the next band....We eventually found ourselves here:
Omg, Hellogoodbye were SO cute!! X3 It was very fun.
A few hours and bands later (Namely ANTI-FLAG, Bouncing Souls, and Motion City Soundtrack), the main event began......
Gasping, I found myself trapped in the front, seperated from Juvi and the gang :( I did have the twins for company, as well as thousands of sweaty AFI fans, but fuck! I meant to be there only for one song or two, not the entire set! >< Even still, incredible experience......Prior to the performance, I attempted a little stunt in which the twins' younger brother offered his arm for. I had written the band a letter in some little notepad paper and wrapped this around it. Then, I put it in a bottle and had the guy throw it on stage. Luckily, it landed right by one of the speakers as they were setting up (as Bouncing Souls were performing). Some roadie picked it up, so....I dunno! Hope things went well with that!

Yeah...I got tons of Hunter and Jade :) Most of my Davey's came out like crap, and I'm at a terrible angle for Adam :(
Luckily! I met the lovely man I could scarcely see after the show. We hung out at the beackon where Fritch told us Smith may be chilling out, and spotted the Adam. I told him of my encounter with Davey that he may remind Davey to show the band the art. Daniella and Juvi got photos, I couldn't find my camera in time ;_; Oh, well, it was fun to talk to the man :).
Later, was our encounter with Smith.
"Smith, you're my hero." I shook his hand.
"You're my hero," he grinned, beer in hand.
"Smith, can I bow down and worship you here and now?" pleaded the Daniella.
"Uh, nah man. That's kind of creepy," he reacted. "High fives, though!"
Sweet! They totally high fived. I recall an exchange where I gave him props for surviving the car crash as his friend noted upon the Smith being a legend. Fuck yeah.
The day continued to die out, and we watched the last few NOFX songs before we let the show. As the crowds were filing out, I looked up and saw a pair of beautiful, gorgeous blue eyes. I stupidly said "Hi," to my favorite drummer once more and he smiled, even though I'm a complete retard. Ah well. And the night died, and Natalia got a ride home. Was fucking tired that night, but I was so happy. What a night.
So, after all that commotion of that wonderful weekend, I had to finish my business plan!
The one where Nikki dabbled in entrepreneurship
So, we presented that Wednesday (mm...I was SO up to it after Warped. ~_~). It went over alright, I had the i-pod playing some soft tunes as we discussed Rare Finds, a used books/music cart for the mall. It went over alright. Thought it was gonna be over and done with, right?
Wrong. We still had to do shit. We had to make all these corrections and it was really annoying >< But, eventually we turned it in again....
Then, we voted on who would get to present on Friday. My partner and myself totally voted for other groups. SOMEone voted for us. Okay....10 people voted for one group, we thought we were safe.
WRONG AGAIN.
Apparently, we are so good like that, we had a great business plan, and the teacher decided on half the vote, pretty much. So, there were two plans he really liked. Only one of those two got a vote. FUCK.
So, Friday came and we had to present. Early in the morning. And this was after I had gone to the midnight premeire of Pirates ~_~ (not a good experience after a VERY tiring day...So sad because I kept dosing off and couldn't enjoy it ;_;) Ah well. We were the last out of the other top 7, so we had a lot to go after. Whatever.

Ah...That night was fun because I kicked it old skool with Daniella and Juvi. Good times, good times.

The one where Nikki went on another Road trip to Hell
I have had many hell trips. Its time for the 06 edition! Ah....It never ends
So, the family came up, and we continued up past Uvalde to the Frio county. Stayed in new house hidden in the hills called "Dry Bean." Nice except for the Taxidermy and leather furniture. The brother and the Bea came for a while :) Bea is so fun, she gave me a Calculus book! Yay!
So, it was a boring trip for hte most part. Almost all we did consisted of food and eating. Mostly bbq/carne asada, but I had my own vegetarian/vegan alternatives :P I enjoyed relaxing and reading/drawing. I read this comic "Childhood is Hell" from Matt Groeng. Genius, gotta get more of his Life in Hell stuff. This and started to read CoS (recently finished PS :P). Good good. Enjoyed some of the nature, but didn't really get to see much of it due to mother's fear. Hiked a hill a bit, walked with my Brother and his girl, "swam" (more like walked) in the Frio twice (roughly 20 minutes each session @_@), laughed at my cousin's adorable dog, Princey, and her attempts to swim ^^, and watched random stuff. It was a relaxing time and many laughs were shared over games of loterria.
BUT FUCK! That was WAY too much FOOD! @_@ I don't want to eat anymore.
What ev, we got back earlier today. Got back in time to go to the senior meeting (how fun that was!). Yeah. Worked a bit, and then yeah. That was my day!
