I decided to do some house cleaning tonight... I went through my friends list and cut a bunch of people. My criteria for cutting mostly was along the lines of "I don't recognize this person off the top of my head" and "This person hasn't posted in over a year." Hi, Nikki! Was you born in Manchester? I like music from there: Joy Division, The Smiths, Happy Mondays. But I suspect that they aren't large part of the city's life. It's amazing how Manchester rock can be known so far form the city! But I wanted to speak with somebody from Manchester. Not only about music. I am from Ukraine and I live in the city that resembles Manchester to some extent. I work as a journalist at the local magazine "Afisha" (Poster, Bill, Placard). It's about entertainment. I would be glad if you answered me.

I think you're thinking of Manchester, UK. I'm from Manchester, New Hampshire in the United States.

I forgot utterly that there are many clones of European cities in the USA. I read Mark Twain's "Tom Soyer" and I remember that its characters lived in little American town called Sanct-Peterburg! Anyway I like your answer! My notion about "little America" was formed by Todd Solondz's films "Happiness", "Storytelling" and "Palindromes". Are they true? I always imagine big and a little brute footballers and girls from support with colour feathers. And slaughters in schools of course. Am I right? Mark Twain and Todd Solondz are my teachers of American life. Are there any others?
