A new pet peeve has worked its way onto my top 10 list... top 5 probably, because, just... DAMNIT. That peeve would be "people who go shopping in incliment weather

It's wonderful when the customers make your job harder, huh. ;D
They were seriously waiting for a calendar price to drop below a dollar? Seriously? Now, I'm a big ol' cheapskate, big as I can be without bein' an out and out miser, but even I'm thinkin' a dollar's not a bad price for one of those... Are they used to a different standard?
I should have just been glad that the night was mercifully free of teenagers leaving copies of the Kama Sutra in various sections, such as religion or children's lit...
No, calenders have never dropped below a dollar, but some customers can't help but hold out on a hope. It's really obnoxious when people ask us for pricing estimations on things and then don't listen, then return at a future date and act all pissy at us. It's very much a "don't shoot the messenger" type deal that we always lose out on. Normally I can just shrug my shoulders and go "it's your own damn fault" but I was just in a poor mood last night due to the weather and feeling sick, and having my ear talked off for a half an hour while there were more productive things I could have done grated on me...
I mean... it's almost March... they were seriously driven to go out in the middle of a snowstorm for a CALENDER? o.O If a calender was so important, why didn't they get one back at the beginning of the year, ya know?
I will never, ever understand why people willingly leave the house when it's this cold, LET ALONE when it's snowing like crazy. Unless it's a matter of life and death, STAY HOME. No, that sale at Macy's IS NOT WORTH IT. AAAARRRRGHHHH NJIOP5YU8IFTDU
I'm gonna take that as a sign that you guys are still getting hit with snow too. Argh, today was insane! Wet slushy snow that turned to icy road conditions and people are STILL coming to the mall. Freaking idiots. It took me an hour to get into work, over an hour to get home... I SWEAR if my special orders hadn't come in Friday, I'd have been BEYOND pissed.
