Break

My break was pretty cool. I went to England again this year to visit my aunt and uncle. We rented this little used-to-be-barn-now-turned-into-a cottage in on a farm in a small town. During the days, we would drive to different places to visit. I love England.

-One of the days I went to see the ruins of a castle, thinking that there wouldn't be very much to see. As it turns out, there was a lot to see. I climbed up lots and lots of narrow spiral stairs in the dark so it was kind of hard to see, but it was definitely worth it when I got to the top where I could see the whole castle from the top.
-We also went to another castle, although this time it wasn't ruins. We were allowed to walk inside the castle and see the furniture and wax figures dressed up in clothes from that time. We also got to see their idea of a bathroon, which was just a hole in the ground with a gritted square of metal on top. Yuck.
-I also visited towns, including the village where Shakepeare used to live. The house is still there, so I toured inside of it, and some of his relatives' homes as well. The tours were pretty cool, and I learned that the phrase "I've got a frog in my throat" actually came about because back then when somebaody had a sore throat, the doctor would dangle a frog in the person's throat and somehow the frog would spit something into his/her throat to cool it down. Don't ask me how any of this has to do with Shakespeare, though.
-Other times, we just checked out cutesy towns, with old houses built ages ago, and ones with thatched roofs.
-I would like to say that I've got pictures to show you, but I haven't started uploading them yet, so it might take a while because I'm lazy and I don't know when I'll get to that.
-Anyway, so that's my update on everything so far.
