I just finished reading The Kite Runner and A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini and would like to take a few lines to recommend these books to everyone! I won't talk about the story so much as it's too special for me to try and summarise or talk up, just how reading these books has affected me.

I felt the same way about both of Hosseini's books. I'm a huge reader and put away probably two books a week, but these are the best books I've encountered in quite a while.
Aside from the way Hosseini forces you to transplant yourself into someone else's life, his use and mastery of the language makes it so easy to forget about your own troubles and empathize so completely with his characters. I cried for them, cheered for them. And then, when it was over, I missed them like a lost limb.
