oh god this'll be nuts
ok, here comes the longest post ever. or so i think it will be at this point in time.

first we'll need a slight bit of backstory. anime convention on the weekend of the 6th. i chose to cosplay as sakura from naruto. she has pink hair. in order for pink dye to have any effect whatsoever, my dark brown hair required...bleach
bleaching happened monday. took a wicked long time, the hair salon people seemed confused that a girl with really long dark hair wanted ALL OF IT bleached out. for some strange reason, my parents seemed to like my new yellow coloring.
tuesday i had to go to work. i was not looking forward to it. didn't want to see people's reactions to the shocking hair color change.
lyndsey stared and kinda smirked
ian jokingly asked if i did something to my hair
luis stared and laughed
jason stared and verbalized how wrong it was
dennis did not comment
mr. balasco did not comment
ms. katzen laughed and said 'every time i see you your hair is different'
mr. salomone said 'for a second i thought we'd hired a new usher...then i realized it was just you.'
jason and luis felt the need to continue with blonde jokes.
wednesday (the 4th) i attempted to do some pink dye. since i have so much hair, one cannister of the dye did not quite cut it. i went out to purchase more. the store was closed. i was stuck with kinda-sorta-not-really-pink hair.
thursday we (we being me & sarah) head up towards the con!!
as far as anime cons go, it was rather uneventful. not much actually happened, the most excitement we got out of this was just random stuff that happened, not really events at the con
most entertaining stuff is as follows:
thursday night we saw some cosplayers out in the hotel. we decided to hurriedly get changed into our costumes and go out to attack them. by the time we were changed and out there, they'd gone. we'd opted to walk around a bit. shortly after, we saw some guys a couple floors up. (the way the hotel was, you could see all the floors from wherever. it was very open) they yell hello down to us. one runs to the elevator. the other warns us that we should run, rabid fanboy is coming to hug us. we think he's kidding. he tells us, no really, run. we run to the bathroom. after chillin' there for a while we come back out, and sure enough a rabid fanboy is walking around the lobby looking for us. there we get our first hugs of the con. we go back up to our room and play cards.
gai-sensei. the best gai-sensei cosplayer ever. this guy was insane. we both agreed, we were never really fond of gai. but this guy greatly improved our view of him. words cannot describe him.
naruto and tenten. we met the naruto and tenten we'd hung out with at the con in boston. we hung out with them and talked about how little there was to do at this con compared to boston.
sasuke. sarah knew a girl who was coming, cosplaying as sasuke. we wanted to avoid her. a lot. sadly we failed miserably and we spent much of the con looking out for her and trying to ditch her whenever possible.
random people yelling "neji-kun!!!" when sarah would walk by them
we found a time-skip neji and shikamaru. they were cool, we hung out with them alot.
random 2 am walk outside. we were playing cards with naruto (who's real name is bryan) and decided to go for a walk. at 2 am no less.
sarah's sandals breaking while we were fighting outside and waiting in line for the dealers' room to buy a new pair, and my purchasing an akatsuki robe so i can change my cosplay into deidara.
rave. there was a random rave in the convention centre. we go in and neither neji nor timeskip neji are dancing. deidara is dancing, and trying to encourage them. neji decided that temari is more likely to dance, so we go upstairs for a wardrobe change. back at the rave, deidara is still the only one dancing. random guy comes over and asks temari for a hug, saying he's going around hugging all the temari's. deidara jokingly tells him the temari is being a party pooper and refuses to dance. the guy leaves. he returns somewhat later, with a few other guys. they try to convince temari to dance. they're really being sketchy, and bothering us. they're starting to creep us out, and we notice that we're getting closer and closer to the wall. we're getting cornered by a bunch of creepy older guys. we need to escape. they try hard to get temari to dance, and they're starting with neji as well. we're completely cornered now and trying to get out. i tried to communicate to temari and neji, follow me, dance for like a little bit and follow me to the door. just dance over here then RUN. my communication fails. the GAI-SENSEI comes over and grabs neji to dance. he does this briefly, just long enough to distract the creepy guys and give me enough time to tell temari to get neji and follow me. we successfully escape, thanks to gai's diversion. so gai came to our rescue. slightly later, we meet some other kids outside who were also creeped out by the SAME GUY
