I found out Michael Jackson was dead on the 25th at 6pm, right as the panel my students and I were in ended. One of them looked down at a text message she had gotten while we talked about Interfaith ASB trips at UM, and said with disbelief - Michel Jackson is dead. He just died

You know, celebrity deaths don't usually affect me that much, because it's not like I know them personally or anything. But this one did, I think mostly because he was such a legend in his day, and he never got a chance to come back and get over the stigmas and issues that plagued him the last decade. It's such a fall from grace. IDK I'm probably not making sense. But I'm just sad.
