What have I gotten myself into this time...?

Remind me, for next time, never to take a commission without asking for approximate measurements first. X.x'

On that note, does anyone know how to mod a bodice pattern to accommodate a bust size 10 inches larger than the largest of specifications?

... Yeah, I know. I'm screwed. ><'

Do you have a mannequin? When I got a surprisingly large commission, asyora helped me by covering the mannequin with sheets of foam (like out of a portable mattress thingie) and tying it down with fabric or duct tape. You can keep layering it on until it's the right measurements, and the mannequin helps it keep a person-like shape. You can get foam sheets at craft stores or home improvement type stores - they're probably cheaper there than at craft stores too.

Sorry, I just saw you were asking about modding the pattern itself - but if you have the modified mannequin, you can hold the pattern up and see a lot better where to add. :)

I don't have a mannequin at the moment, but I should by the time I start the project. The foam is a most excellent solution... but I'm still wondering if it'd be enough. I had to go to a plus- size pattern, and still needed those ten inches. I don't even know how large mannequins can get, either... so it may end up being a fair amount of foam in the end. But thanks for all the advice, 'tis greatly appreciated! You have given me new hope for this project...
