Or I would not have gotten out of bed at o'dark:30 to go to pilates class at 8AM. What was I thinking?
Ok, so it was not too bad, and there was one other male in the room. I have been doing some in the mornings with the redhead, so it was not completely foreign. Class was not as hard as I imagined it would be and was a good way to start the day. I then did 20 minutes of cardio and lifted for about half an hour. Was not real high energy day, but at least I am being consistent on 2-3 days a week of exercising. Go me. Still hanging at 152, but I think I am going to be able to drop that last 2 pounds this year still...and keep it off.
Actually, I lost a pound over turkeyday, so that is a major feat. I normally gain 5-10 pounds during this season, so I consider it more like losing that much. I feel good, if not in great condition yet. But I have been able to do 3-4.5 miles consistently on the elliptical at <10 minute/mile pace for the past 3 weeks. w00t! I may not win any races, but I plan to be around for the kid for a long time. That is really the impetus here, I want to push that cardiac arrest/stints/bypass out as far as I can. Perhaps science will be able to counteract the genetics by then.
In the mean time, I am trying to spend it all so I don't take any with me. :-) Ok, not really...yet. I still need enough to put the kid through school...then it is mine to spend. Shopping suXored today. So many fucking people out. But had a few things I needed to do at the stores and no time during the week to do it. At least I got a buzz on at the wine store. *burp* Seriously. I suppose not really having eaten much at that point was a major contributor. But lots of free wine to taste. Mmmmmm, wine! Some for moi, some for presents, but all good.
Redhead is off to her xmas party. Did not want me to tag along. Oh well. She will have to deal with me and her coworkers and the ex-bf baggage sometime.
