Ok...got my long cables in the mail today! Of course, it was not quite long enough, and I had used all my couplers putting in the network to the upstairs. But hey, it was a good excuse to run to the mall just before closing time to hit Radio Shack, and then get a little heavy petting in with Mystery Woman.

Came home and got kit's my TiVo all set

there is a service to the tivo...basically involving downloading program guides. You may also be able to get it from your cable/dish provider.

You have to subscribe to the service. :( $12.95 a month to let the tivo talk to your cable company to get the lineups. It's like a 1-900 number for cable or something. You can also pay something like $300 up front and it's set for the life.... of the UNIT. So I wouldn't do that if I were you because it's already 4 years old, and you'll prolly wanna upgrade it eventually if you really fall in love.

If I fall in love, then don't I have to move to a remote place where I won't need a TiVo? So upgrading it would not make sense in that case. ;-P

I will have to just spend the monthly bucks for now...so I don't miss those key shows...of course I have to avoid recording those icky shows for Mariko...like Survivor 2030 The Geriatric Celebrity Champions Pt. Magoo
