The tale of an aspiring director's struggle to make it in the entertainment industry, and how his big idea of a 24-hour live broadcast reality show of Ben Stein's life makes it big. Fame corrupts him, he walks all over the people who have stuck by him since the beginning, and it all falls fast when the network goes bankrupt when he goes to a horse race with a couple of his ritzy high-class hollywood friends, drunk, and looses it all. He crawls back to where he started, a broken man, dignity gone, soul crushed, having learned a most important lesson: People will watch anything if you attach a famous name to it.
