I used to work with a lady who was what they call a "brittle" diabetic; it was really difficult to control her sugar levels. She had an insulin pump, which gave her measured doses of insulin through the day. I'm thinking they should do the same for caffeine.
Or a patch. Yeah, that would be better. I could just slap one on in the morning when I get up -- no wait, I'd have to keep them by the bedside so I could slap one on *before* I get up -- and I'd be good to go.
