There was a very interesting article on my Yahoo news page today about how President Eisenhower, after the launch of Sputnik, made some contingency appointments of civilians to posts in the government in the event of a catastrophe. and I've become too numb to be outraged. Numbed by constant battering by the fact that a very large percentage of the American people are too clueless or too apathetic, or both, to care.

{sigh}...

I feel like an inmate who has been beating her head against the proverbial wall until I'm no longer conscious because it's the only way to make the demons "go away" when it comes to todays politics.
