Just got an email from cleartrip, and the first few words read:

Dear Nilesh,

We noticed that you haven’t booked with Cleartrip for about 11 month/s and we miss you.

We wish to inform you that with the reduced air fares, great offers and innovative features, booking travel on Cleartrip has never been more exciting. Please find below some great offers ( Read more... )

Nilesh, we appreciate your feedback and will work on the email copy going forward. You can reply to that email or write to me directly at nanda (at) cleartrip (dot) com if you have any particular feedback about the service or booking experience.

Incidentally, we have, in fact, reduced a lot of weight and are looking a lot fairer since the last time you booked with us :-) (The email also has a list of feature enhancements that we've rolled out in the recent past.)

Hi Saurabh,

Some searches over the internet tells me that you're a Sr. Product Manager at cleartrip, and if that's the case, I really appreciate the efforts you have done to find out my blog entry about cleartrip. Yes, I did have issues with cleartrip in the past and hence I haven't used it much (rather at all, to be true) in last few months, but I guess I will take your words for cleartrip and try it next time I book my flight tickets.I can drop you an email if you wish to know what the issues were that led me go away from cleartrip.

He he.. followed this thread with some interest.. and I appreciate Saurabh's dedication :).. I hope he comes back here to read this coz for the record, that email would have totally dragged me back to ClearTrip if I had received it.. so do lookie twice before changing it coz it would work on some people!

I'm a MakeMyTrip loyalist but after this, I might head to ClearTrip the next time I book a ticket.. just to try it out :)
