*hug* A long-distance relationship isn't an easy thing to keep up. I really do admire how close you are with each other, even though you're so far away.

It may not be the same, but at least you'll still have the Net to talk to each other, right?

Why thank you, Crystal. I'm inclined to agree about the long distance relationship thing - it is hard. Sometimes we wonder how life would be if Toshi only lived down the street. I might note, however, that the distance really has no effect on us being close to each other(relationship-wise). It messes around with how happy we get to be.

As for communication when in Japan, Toshi won't have internet access at her host's home. She could go to internet cafes, but that gets tricky in forgien countries. I don't think she will have a lot of time on her hands when she's there, either, my knowledge of Japanese secondary school being what it is.

Well, there's always the old-fashioned letter-writing way. :P

Sorry I didn't see this before...like Alec it seems that sometimes I forget LJ exists for stretches of time...

The long-distance relationship is hard, but if you love each other enough, it can still work. *hugs Nil*

Actually, I don't know if I will have internet access in my host family's home or not. I suppose I will find out when I get there. Whatever the case may be, I probably will not have a lot of time online, and so will probably be writing a lot of letters.

*whine whine whine* Well dude, you have her. Think of it that way. Love of your life or not you two make an adorable couple (even though I don't know her) I say adorable because it's lovely the way you two care for each other. So get a car or deal with it.

Problem with the car bit being not only the fact that neither of us even have permits (nor could either of us get them before I leave), but cars are expensive! I don't know about Nil, but my parents have stipulated that if I'm going to drive, I have to pay for everything myself, from the drivers training to the gas to the car to the insurance. Without a job, that's pretty much impossible.

(But yes, we probably both need to stop whining a bit. You're right ^^ It's just sad not being able to see one another)

That's really sweet! The Valentines Day thing, I mean. I hope it works out between you two! I can't imagine what it would be like to have a long distance relationship. Heck, I don't even know what it's really like to have a short-distance relationship, but you get the idea. Though I don't know Toshi, I'm sure you two make a cute couple. Good luck! I know it can be hard to keep up a long-distance relationship (many of my friends have had at least one or two), but I wish you well! *hug*

I did the Johari thing, too... http://kevan.org/johari?name=Toshi

The roses were meaningful to me, though. You picked them out especially for what they meant, and got them even though we're so far away from each other. You put a lot of thought and effort into getting them for me, if my conversations with my doppelganger about it are any indication. Most boys get them because it's easy and not something you can really go wrong with, and they're close by and don't really plan it out much at all. Not so in your case. It meant a lot to me. Thank you, my love.

We're very self-serving people, neh? Increasing our own happiness by helping others and making them happy...:P

I am quite aware of that, and will set one up when I get back home.

I wonder who you are...

And Toshi, thanks.
