Well, I'm glad you posted what you knew; I thought that if I didn't hear news from Toshi in April, I would email you and ask you information about her. Did her mother really wrote what you said? it is strange to say "she is still alive". I would expect her to be still alive.
Maybe Toshi's host sister will turn out to be lovely. I hope so :) Some shyness is normal for a girl when a foreign girl all the sudden shares her bedroom.
I suppose that I am doing the right thing. I've not attempted to contact Edelweiss, figuring that it would be best to give her space to adjust completely to her new life. I wonder if it's the best course of action.I think that if I were you I would try to contact her; I don't think it would prevent her from adjusting to her new life, but maybe you are right, you know how Toshi is better than me. It is true, when I think about it, that Toshi is different from some friends that I have, because she really trusts you, and she won't think you have fogotten her if you don't contact her. She knows your love is

I think she well as well. There are some thing I worry about, though, mainly getting into colleges with no accredited units in the senior year.
I always thought of Edelweiss as being tall, as she is only slightly shorter than me, but statueque is a funny way of putting it. Actually, she isn't tall for an American, but the Japanese are small, even in my old recollections.
I'm glad she's doing well. It's hard not to worry about people (even people you barely know through teh intarweb) when they've gone off to another country.
I'm glad you can stay updated on how Toshi is doing. I think I would be utterly miserable if someone I knew, let alone had feelings like that for, were gone for a very long time. Heck, I hate going through a weekend without talking to my friends for at least one of the days, and that's just for my friends! I can't imagine what it would be like if I had a boyfriend that I couldn't see for such a long time.
You're doing an exceptional job handling this entire situation. Keep it up, Nil! I hope you and Toshi can talk soon!
And a happy (belated) birthday to your little sister!

Actually, I am 85th percentile, which would make me rather tall for an American.
Yes, my mom did write that. I am STILL alive, despite several comments that would precede the contrary from people.
