Geez, I suck at commenting. One more time, and let's see if I can get my facts straight.

I laugh at you because you have decided to make up a language, and with apostrophes galore, too. I hope you don't expect me to pay any actual attention to these Elvish lessons.

In the script, the presyllables are distinguished as little symbols on the front of the words - in roman lettering, I wound up using apostrophes because I couldn't think of any better idea - they have to be distinguished because they have hard vowels, and the base word often includes a pre-syllable prefix that is--spelling wise--the same. The only difference is the pronounication of the vowels.

Do you have a better idea? VE looks pretty nasty with all those apostrophes...

And no - none of this is really needed for phoenix blood, though if you are that kind of person who wants to understand behind the bits that Illinara occasionally spouts...

Obviously now you understand the diference between (ne'pawqi) ki'janori and kin'janori. (oh... now I realise why that sentence was so hard to translate...)

That's a pretty darn good idea... though I'm not sure how I would do that. I can get it from the symbol list in word, but...

Hmm...

Nëleyas

Yeah - that looks spiffy. Might cause some confusion concerning the script, but I daubt anyone else will try using the script.

I think you`ve created a VERY complex language. From experience studying languages, you might want to try studying some preexisting languages and looking at what is easy and what is really annoying about them.

However, I am way too focussed on basic English right now to comment well on Elven (I just got back from an English workshop...).
