I was told this evening that my dad has been diagnosed with colon cancer. They believe it has been caught in the early stages but he still has to go in for a full MRI to determine if it has spread. My step-grandfather and my grandmother both died of cancer in the last 2 years. I'm worried about how he is taking it. He has already watched his step-

When was the last time you had a physical? You should get blood work done and get a good look at all of that. A lot of that is just a matter of keeping track of what you eat. I know in my family I have the same thing except for cancer running rampant. I just keep track of how much sodium and sugar I intake.

You don't know if you'll reach 50 or not. For all you know you could drop dead tomorrow or live to 115. You should get checked out and see what a doctor says and get one you can trust.

Colon cancer ... well ANY cancer is difficult news to handle. Hopeful this has been caught early enough, too.
