Peer Pressure

Who do you compare yourself against? Parents, siblings, friends, public figures, TV stars?

For me, if it is anyone, I guess it is my brother, but it is hard to admit it.

So - this is what Comments are for - tell all !

I tend to compare myself to anyone who has the same passions as I do: photography, bass playing, etc... Those are the moments when I feel peer pressure.

During my weakest moments anyone, anyone who makes lots of money by doing what he really likes, will cause a serious peer pressure attack.

Interestingly enough, it's easier to dodge peer pressure when I can shoot it down with: "It's art, who cares if someone else is better, there's always the Next Better Guy".

With money (or in my case the lack of it), however, it's easy to feel like an average chump who never made it past the minimum-wage jobs and suddenly the vacuum cleaner salesman next door feels like a master achiever!

Apparently I cannot even arrange a simple family gathering successfully, so a well-organised ant is up on me.
