Kuala Lumpur
Our first night in K.L. we didn't do anything special, just relaxed after all the travelling, revelled in the non-Japanese t.v. as if we were cavemen staring up at the big black monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey, went for a swim, probably napped, and then headed out for a late dinner at...I'm embarassed to admit this but...T.G.I. Hong Kong and Crowne Plaza
On the flight to Hong Kong I watched part of that Will Ferrell Ricy Bobby movie, which was boring. Had a momentary scare at the airport when my bags didint come onto the carrousel, turns out that even though we were spending one night in Hong kong, they had been checked directly to kuala lumpur. We got to Kyoto on Christmas Eve, where we had booked two nights at a no-frills business hotel in a convenient area. We went to see arguably Kyoto's most famous attraction, Kinkakuji, the Golden Temple. Orphan Christmas, Gaijin Carolling, Jungle Beach New Years?

Last weekend in November
I went to Osaka on Friday night to meet up with Tristan and his friend David. We saw Casino Royale, which I thought was awesome, and then stayed the night at this budget hotel (no bunkbeds!). Mini-Vacation
On Wednesday, I skipped school a little early and jumped on a bus (followed by a train) and 6 hours later, I was giving carly a hug outside the train station in Toyooka.
