So, hey, it is always great to see people writing MCR gen! Especially about Mikey and Gerard because they are my faaaaavourite. I think if anyone is a prime candidate to get sucked into an eerie mess of their own creation, it's definitely those two.
And on that note, I think the mood was definitely the strongest thing about this story. It was this real claustrophobic Twilight Zone-ish nightmare, and at times I could almost feel the humidity from the freak rainstorms against my skin. Very evocative, good job.
No worries, it is the most extreme of compliments. Kind of like when you don't know what to say at all, and your text-languaging yourself into oblivion; zOmFgZz lah. You know? And by the way, i love your userpic. Tasteful :)
I enjoyed this so much. The feel of the story was so tense, and you write the relationship between Mikey and Gerard so well. With that and Pete I was a very happy reader.
Okay, wow, at the point where they figured out they'd called a demon by accident and were super freaked out, my heartbeat spiked and I was curling up over my keyboard.
I like how you blurred the reality/imagination divide with this. The result was pretty creepy. (Like others, I was halfway expecting magical realism shenanigans, and then it turned out to be horror. Brrr!)
