[Darkrai looks up, a bit surprised at the offer of help. Not used to it, really. People attacking him, sure. Being helped? That's less common, yeah. Still, he reaches up, taking a hold of his hand, before getting up slowly, letting go once he's standing, wobbling a bit. 6'2" is a horrible height to be when you're not steady on your feet, really.]

[The boy takes a step back when Darkrai lets go, so he doesn't have to crane his neck back as far to see the man's face. He only looks to be about middle-school aged, so there's quite a height difference here. Touya nods.]

I was not.

[Doesn't even know what a mermaid is, but yeah. He wasn't one. Isn't one. A change in form does not equal a change in what one truly is.]

And- I did not. Before.

[In response to not having legs before... Well, sort of. He could extend legs, yes. But they weren't to move around with, only to catch his balance if he fell or to stand sometimes.]
