Kate caught up with them outside, on her way home from work. She was bundled up in a long coat because, yes. It was cold, and even though she'd driven home (and was forever thankful to Eric for that) and had been warm in the car, that just meant being out in the cold was somehow colder.

But she still smiled.

Seamus barked like a madman and strained against his leash and collar to try and get to Kate. Bod let him have some slack and he jumped up excitedly.

"Evening," Bod said, not going as far as to jump on her. "How are you doing? Good day at work?"

"The usual," Kate said, in between all the requisite 'hiiiii' and 'who's a good boy' stuff while she crouched down to give Seamus a few scritches. "Someone freaked out about the whole water landing bit even though that's literally never ever going to happen on that route, but other than that, it was all cool. Smooth sailing, but for planes."

"Good to hear," he said, watching Seamus wind his way around Kate's legs before he went off to sniff another shrub. "You're welcome to go up. I will hopefully be done by next year with this."
