You should, then! :D To be honest, I don't think I'm going to take it with me every day of the year; school's such a chaotic place. But for the first day I thought it might be nice to snap some pictures along the way :) Last year I had a very boring agenda, and I thought how great it would be to be able to whip out a beautiful little book when making appointments! It's a church - I wish we had such beautiful libraries around here! The steeple is actually in front and much taller too, it's on the right outside the picture frame. (It would have been in the picture if it had played nicely with the brightly shining sun.) The visible bit is the nave (on the right), the east transcept (on the left) and the crossing (with the little cross).
Oooh, the notebooks are so pretty! And wow at that building, too! I still have two weeks before school starts, and though I'm a bit sad the holidays are over, I'm also kind of excited, because I'll be taking many really interesting courses! Like American Literature, North American studies, a course on Gender studies, and this really interesting one called "Ideology, Politics & Propaganda in American Cinema". Yay!
I'm really pleased with the notebooks ^_^ Oh believe me, those two weeks will be gone before you know it! I remember when I still had two weeks left. Gosh, what happened? ;) Glad you're looking forward to it :) Those courses do sound interesting. I had no idea you were focusing so much on America :)
Yeah, I'm thinking about minoring(?) in North American studies. It's just such a huuuuuuge continent, and so diverse and colourful. Plus my boyfriend is half-american, so that's another reason for the interest. :3 I'm still thinking of another one I could minor in, like the gender studies, maybe. We're allowed to have up to two subjects besides English Filology, and I'm still quite undecided. :)
Interesting! ^_^ It's definitely very diverse, and with someone close to you having a special link to the area, I can see why you'd be interested. (Personally I'm leaning more towards Britain lately - but North America is so very interesting as well!) Is there anything in that variety of different 'colours' (so to speak) that attracts you particularly? :)
Oh, me too. I love the look, but am horrible with keeping diaries... Now I've found a good use for all of them though, so they will probably get nice and worn haha. I just loved the idea of getting out a beautiful little book when making appointments or writing down notes to myself. It's so much more rewarding than a simple school notebook, and a feast for the eye to let it lie on the table for a little longer ^_^
Me too! Or just to put in a bookcase and look pretty :D The little brown one is tempting me to just scribble little verses in, and small poems. If I still wrote poetry I totally would... Thank you for the kind wishes! :)
