Hope for Dina?

This morning I was at the physio with my dog Dina because she's doing a bit worse recently. Her elbow joints are quite swollen and sore, and she's on anti-inflammatory painkillers for one week now. During the therapy session the physio lady told me that by now it's possible to operate crooked legs (worst case of elbow dysplasia) like Dina have ( Read more... )

On Fur Affinity i often see artists doin an iron artist where they put up a commision list of about 100 sketches for a low price, doing something like that may help generate some cash to help out dina. figure out a price for 20 minute sketches and do 3 a night and in just over a month you could be done.

it is just an idea.

Yes, I was considering something similiar too, if the surgery is possible. :) Thanks for the hint! ^.^

This is so heartbreaking, it's hard to have to juggle your pets health with how much you can afford to spend. I hope that you are able to come up with the money somehow, because I know it will be worth it in the end for Dina and it's plain to see that you love her very much *hugs*

I agree with dolphinfriend about the commission fundraiser. I know I'd be happy to throw you some money for a badge or sketch to help out Dina's cause!

A few years ago, my pug broke his left elbow. It was a multiple-fracture break too, which is bad news. His surgery was almost $3000, which was more than we even had in the bank. But there was no way that we weren't going to do it, if it was between the surgery or euthanasia, you know? We were, thankfully, able to gather the money and get his surgery, and he's been perfectly fine ever since.

I love my dog like he was my own child. He's part of the family, and he's got lots of years left in him.

At this point, since Dina's options are kind of open, you have some time before having to choose what to do. I bet you could raise the money without any problems :3

I thought about that too, but the problem is that Dina is already "ill" with her elbow dysplasia. Thus they most likely won't accept her. Also she's already 4 years old, and 5 years is the highest age a dog can get an insurance. Should have gotten an insurance when I got her back in 2008.

But thank you nevertheless!
