Wow. I really like it. I like the continuation of Firo as therapist (he's just good at that, isn't he?), and the calming-down bits are full of cute and awesome. Also, I find the image of a half asleep Firo being steered around by other people adorable. Bonus points for Maiza, and cookies for him setting up the therapy. ^^
Don't worry about not being able to write depressing stuff; traumatic fluff is good too (sometimes better).
Firo is totally going to work himself to the bone if the others don't stop him from latching onto every single angst-ridden character like a leech. XD Seriously, in episode three, I'd bet money that he would have ran right into that burning building if he thought someone was still inside.
It became a little more Firo-centric than I would have liked, but it really was Maiza's fault, wasn't it? He knew exactly what he was doing. XD
Firo the therapist strikes again! You have a tallent for happy endings, you know that? And I find it odd that you used an element that I had thought of using for a fic as well (though in a different setting). Hehe, if I ever suddenly spawn motivation know that I did not steal it.
An addiction to happy endings is more like it. XD Writing a sad ending would just... hurt my brain. Or cause a massive internal implosion. Or something. XD
If the idea was Firo giving a Czeslaw a piggyback, I found a Japanese fanart/comic with the scene (though Czes was asleep). And then Riza/Liza saw them and got jealous, so she latched herself onto Firo's leg and sat on his foot so he could carry her around, too. I was like, "OMFG, my sister and I did that to our father ALL THE TIME. *fangasm*"
Even if that isn't it, if you ever spawn motivation, I WANT TO SEE IT. :D
Whee~ Now that NaNo is over, I can actually return to a normal sleep pattern. :D
It's amazing how much character torture can be justified by happy endings ... at least, that's how I see it. (I'm an eeeevil writer) But massive internal implosion is bad! So yes, keep with the happy! The world needs more of it anyway. ^^
Ooh man, I need that fanart! Too cute! Where did you find it? *snickers at the all caps* Hehe, if I could find a way to get my motivation back I would. But I haven't gotten any truly awesome fanfic written since my Outlaw Star epic oh so long ago. Maybe if this rp will ever start I'll at least get some interesting mini-fic from personal ramblings. *paces and tries to think of bribes to get other Baccano fans to join so the insanity may be doubled*
Click on the last filled in circle on the sidebar before the two unfilled circles, and scroll down for the fanart I was talking about. :3
How nostalgic. My sister and I would attack our father at regular practically psychically agreed upon invervals, one of us manning each leg. XD
I'm sold on the RP as long as I get to be Ennis. XD I just love her way, way too much and would probably be psychotically active just for that reason. XD
Baccano! will always be in need of more fanfic writers, so I definitely want to see whatever you come up with in the future. <3
Some day I will leave this funk I've been in, start writing again and eventually try out NaNoWriMo. Anyway...happy family. It makes me happy. And...um...I seem to be not-quite-awake right now, so I will try to return tomorrow to write something better.
This also reminds me, you mentioned the Baccano! novels. O_o Is it out somewhere or something? I'm very curious about the novels! O_O Actually, I have a feeling the novel is something that can't be read by those who lack exposure to other languages. XD
The Baccano! novels... are only out in Japan, Korea, and likely a few other Asian countries, at this point. :(
However, the first two scenes of the prologue of the 1930 novel, The Rolling Bootlegs have been translated at Gun's & Roses. Both scenes didn't make it into the anime, so reading them will expand your knowledge of the series a little bit before you join the rest of us staring mournfully into the distance in the vague direction of e_dimension with puppy-dog eyes.
