Year in review and stuff

Since everybody else is doing it and I am such a damn conformist...

    • January--Started the year at our home in Lakeland, Florida.  We had just installed our new hardwood floor in the den and all that was left of the project was finishing the edges along the doors.  That shouldn't take long right?  I submitted my resume for a new position with my ( Read more... )

Wow. You had a rough 2006. It makes mine look like a walk in the park. The nice thing about new years is that it's a chance for new beginnings. *Raises glass* (of water) Here's to a new year and to a better, less stressful year than 2006 was for you.

Sorry that things were so tough this year. I don't even have the energy to type up my year, so I guess that says something.

I think this year is going to be much, much better. for both of us. Better living through pharmaceuticals, right?

It wasn't all rough and I didn't mean to make it sound that way. But it has definitely been a trying year. Thank god for drugs alright. On a side note though I have been trying to reduce the amount of pain meds I take. My left knee has to be pretty damn bad for me to down Advil. In case you are wondering, it hurts because one hip is higher than the other due to my crooked spine and therefore puts a lot of extra pressure on it as opposed to the other. I actually considered getting a cane the other day and go for the Dr. House look. Since I take Provigil, my caffiene consumption is limited so no more Excedrin for headaches and migraines. That has been difficult to deal with since Advil can only do so much. I can't take Imitrex and the like because of one of my other daily drugs (no play well together). If you are like me, you have probably reached a point where it amazes you how much pain you can handle no ( ... )

I have reduced a lot of my meds. I'm on more neurontin and have done away with the celebrex. I also got rid of the paxil (good riddance)! I've been down to just tylenol with only the occasional vicodin for a long time, so it shouldn't be too bad doing without vicodin. Hopefully I won't get too much back pain as the pregnancy advances.

I did make sure neurontin was safe before we started, because I can't do without it. We would have had to come up with a plan B.

I had thought that Jason would want a party in his new man room, but he hasn't said anything about it. I'm headed down to Macon to go to a horse thing with my Dad. However, if you have some Superbowl plans and don't mind including Jason, he would probably love having a crowd of yelling, drinking, football loving folks to hang out with. Him and Topher would probably get along great.
